VolDelta · CVD & Delta Sources

Read buying and selling pressure at a glance.

VolDelta turns raw volume into one clean CVD line and a plain read on who's pushing harder, buyers or sellers, with Delta Source on Auto by default, so it just works on almost any chart. It's free, and it reads and looks like the rest of the Flow.42 Trading Suite.

CVD that adapts to your data.

VolDelta draws one clean CVD line and a simple pressure readout, so you can see who's doing the work, buyers or sellers, in a couple of seconds instead of squinting at raw volume. Delta Source sits on Auto and grabs the most reliable input your chart actually has, from Volumetric Bid Ask down to Tick Replay Bid Ask, with an OHLC proxy as the last resort so the line never just breaks. Set the CVD reset and lookback to fit how you work, whether that's quick intraday reads or comparing one day against the next.

Clean CVD

One line. When pressure shifts, you see it, with no clutter to wade through first.

Relative pressure

A normalized read, so the push you're seeing now actually means something next to the quiet open or the lunch grind.

Delta Source control

Auto takes the best delta input on hand and falls back gracefully when it isn't there, so your CVD stays consistent whatever your data looks like.

Auto Delta Source that just works

Leave Delta Source on Auto and VolDelta sorts out the best input your chart can give it. No menu-diving, no babysitting settings every time you switch instruments. If real bid/ask delta is there, it uses it; if it isn't, it drops to a sensible proxy so you still get a CVD you can read instead of an empty pane.

CVD reset and lookback tuning

Reset CVD by day, by session, or however you've decided the line should start, so it always begins where it makes sense to you, not where some default put it. Then push the lookback toward snappy or steady, depending on the instrument and timeframe you're trading.

VOLDELTA FAQ

Delta without the noise

The questions I actually get asked, answered straight.

Price can move fast, but delta tells you if the move had real buying or selling effort behind it. VolDelta keeps it practical with a clean CVD line and a simple pressure read you can check in seconds. If you want divergence later, it is there, but the core job is to keep your delta read clear and consistent.

Auto picks the best delta input that is actually available on your chart. If Volumetric Bid Ask is available, it uses that. If Tick Replay Bid Ask is available, it can use that. If neither is available, it falls back to an OHLC proxy so you still get a stable CVD line instead of a broken tool.

Volumetric Bid Ask reads bid and ask volume from volumetric bars, which is a solid and realistic delta source when you use that bar type. Tick Replay Bid Ask builds delta from individual ticks, which can be the most detailed option, but it depends on tick replay data being available and enabled. OHLC Proxy works on almost any data, but it is not real bid ask delta. It is simply a fallback to keep the CVD view usable when true bid ask information is not available.

There are many delta tools out there, but most of them do not match the way we build Flow.42 tools. We keep VolDelta free because it fits our suite perfectly, both analytically and visually, and it makes the whole ecosystem stronger. Think of it as our baseline delta layer that integrates naturally with VolDrive, VolDynamics, VolImbalance, and VolSpike.

Trade less. Trade better. Trade with clarity.

Delta tells me who's doing the work under the candle. The candle alone never did.
