SpotGamma levels and Confluence zones for NinjaTrader 8

Two maps of the market. One price where they agree.

Flow.42 SpotGamma draws your own dealer-positioning levels on the futures chart you actually trade. Flow.42 Confluence scores the prices where those levels line up with the Auction Engine's own read of value.

No Buy/Sell arrows in either one. They show you where the levels sit and where the two worlds meet. You still make the call.

SpotGamma and Confluence: two tools, one job, context

They work as a pair, but each earns its place on its own. SpotGamma puts the dealer map on your chart; Confluence tells you where that map agrees with the auction. Here is what each does, and what it is worth at the desk.

Flow.42 SpotGamma

Your SpotGamma levels, converted to the futures you trade and drawn on the chart. Two clicks to import; one import updates every chart at once.

  • Call Wall, Put Wall, Vol Trigger, absolute & zero gamma, implied move, key S/R, prior settle
  • SPX/SPY→ES and NDX/QQQ→NQ, tick-rounded, resolved automatically
  • Live gamma state from the Vol Trigger, positive or negative, no flicker
  • A per-day archive: every session keeps its own levels; old days gray out
  • Approach, touch and break alerts on both walls, plus a state-flip alert
What that gets you The dealer map that normally only lives on the cash index, sitting on the futures you actually trade, with no guessing where the walls are today.

Flow.42 Confluence

One more map on top. Confluence scores the prices where your SpotGamma levels line up with the Auction Engine's own levels: the places both worlds point at.

  • Two independent maps: dealer positioning and the auction, from different data
  • A zone only scores when both worlds agree there (the cross-domain bonus)
  • One-sided stacks are penalized, so a single map can't fake agreement
  • Score 0 to 100; band opacity grows with the score, boldest is strongest
  • Hover any zone to see exactly which levels built it
What that gets you The prices where two different reads of the market meet. That agreement is a different kind of level than either map alone gives you.

Both are context tools. No arrows, no entries, no bot. They show you where the levels are and where they agree. The call stays yours.

Why traders run SpotGamma and Confluence together

The short list of what you get once both are on the chart.

Your data, your chart

Bring your own SpotGamma. The tool ships empty, fetches nothing and redistributes nothing. It only draws the table you paste in yourself.

The gamma state at a glance

Positive gamma means ranges and magnets; negative means trend and volatility. One badge, read from the Vol Trigger on closed bars, with anti-flicker.

Never trade yesterday's numbers

Stale levels turn gray with a re-import warning the moment the day rolls over. The per-day archive keeps every session honest.

Agreement, scored

Confluence turns two maps into one number per zone. The boldest band is where dealer positioning and the auction point at the same price.

Context, not signals

No Buy/Sell arrows in either tool, and there never will be. They hand you the read; the decision stays yours.

Stays out of the way

Native Direct2D drawing, thread-safe, no per-bar network calls. The levels are on the chart and your chart keeps its speed.

Part of the Auction Engine

SpotGamma and Confluence belong to the Auction Engine family. Confluence reads the Auction Engine directly, and both are activated with your Auction Engine license, no separate key. Add the Auction Engine, add SpotGamma, and Confluence has both maps to work with.

SPOTGAMMA + CONFLUENCE FAQ

The questions traders ask first

Answered the way I'd answer them at the desk: the levels first, then the confluence layer on top.

Is this a buy/sell signal?
No. There are no arrows and no entries in either tool. SpotGamma shows you where the dealer-hedging levels sit and which gamma state the market is in; Confluence shows you where those levels agree with the auction. Both are context. What you do with it stays your call.
Do I need my own SpotGamma subscription?
Yes. The indicator ships empty. It fetches nothing, stores no SpotGamma data of its own and redistributes nothing. It draws the levels from your own SpotGamma dashboard, which you paste in yourself. An active SpotGamma account is required.
Does it work on my futures chart?
Yes, on ES and NQ, including the micros MES and MNQ. SpotGamma quotes its levels on the cash index (SPX) and the ETF (SPY); the indicator converts them to the futures automatically (SPX/SPY→ES, NDX/QQQ→NQ) and rounds them to tick size. The instrument is detected from the chart.
What is the gamma state?
One line, decided by a single level: the Vol Trigger. Above it the market is in positive gamma: dealers dampen moves, so expect ranges and the walls acting as magnets. Below it, negative gamma: dealers amplify moves, so expect trend and higher volatility. It is read on closed bars, with a small buffer so it doesn't flicker on a graze.
What does Confluence add, and when is a zone "real"?
Confluence combines two independent maps, SpotGamma's dealer levels and the Auction Engine's auction levels, into scored zones. A zone only carries real weight where both worlds agree. Two things matter: it needs Tick Replay on the chart (the Auction Engine builds its profile from tick data), and the auction levels only settle once the chart reaches realtime and finishes calibrating. Until then the zones still shift, which is why they start hidden each session. You switch them on after the chart has settled.
Why do the Confluence zones start off every session?
On purpose. During historical load the auction's developing profile is still being built and keeps moving, so the clusters aren't final yet. The toggle button (AE·SG Confluence) is deliberately not saved with the workspace. It always comes up hidden, and you turn it on once the chart is calibrated. The info line and alerts keep working regardless.
Do I need the Auction Engine?
For Confluence, yes. It reads the Auction Engine directly and needs both it and SpotGamma on the same chart. SpotGamma on its own draws your gamma levels without it. Both tools are part of the Auction Engine family and are activated with your Auction Engine license, so there's no separate key to manage.
Will it slow my chart down?
No. Both draw with native Direct2D, run thread-safe, and make no network calls per bar. SpotGamma only touches the network when you click Import; Confluence only reads what the other two already publish.
